Gulf Coast Community of Mindfulness is a community practicing meditation and mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition of the Venerable Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay). Thay's key teaching is that, through mindfulness, we can learn to live in the present instead of in the past or the future. According to Thay, dwelling in the present moment is the only way to truly develop peace both in one’s self and in the world.

Our mission is to maintain a safe and sacred environment for you to learn and grow in your spiritual practice, whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner. No experience is needed and beginners are welcome.  We welcome you no matter your gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, education or disability.  We value and celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all beings and the inherent dignity of all peoples.
